Teacher assaults police

A 26 year old Portmore teacher who assaulted a police officer close to two years ago is to know her fate when she returns to the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on April 24. Janice Darling of Monza in Greater Portmore, St Catherine was found guilty for assault occasioning bodily harm. It's reported that on November 3, 2010, members of a police team were on operation in the Greater Portmore area when they were in the process of accosting a man. The man reportedly ran in the direction of the teacher who was standing in her yard. The woman reportedly attempted to obstruct the police and inflicted injuries to a member of the team. She was then arrested and charged.
