Petrojam’s pricing mechanisms questioned
11:59am | Wed, February 08, 2012
Opposition spokesman for Industry, Commerce and Energy, Gregory Mair is seeking clarification on the pricing mechanism of petroleum products sold by Petrojam.
Mr. Mair tabled a series of questions in Parliament yesterday to Minister of Energy, Mining and ICT, Phillip Paulwell.
Describing the pricing mechanism as flawed, Mr. Mair asked whether an entity other than Petrojam should administer the pricing of its petroleum products.
Mr. Mair also said the government should assess the pricing mechanism for Petrojam products as this affects the price of electricity.
