The National Workers Union (NWU), which represents workers at the Caribbean Cement Company Limited says it's making some progress with the company for a new wage agreement.
Workers at the company took industrial action on Tuesday after the Board declined to make them an offer after 21 months of negotiations.
This prompted the Ministry of Labour to intervene in the dispute. The parties met on Wednesday and according to NWU Island Supervisory Granville Valentine, the company has now made an offer.
