The Jamaica Constabulary Force, (JCF), is to roll out new measures to tackle the perennial problem of praedial larceny, which has been taking a costly toll on the farming community.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ray Palmer, announced that a special police patrol will be deployed along the southern corridor of the island to enforce aspects of the Praedial Larceny Act.
The senior cop also said they'll be looking at a farm watch programme, which operates like a neighbourhood watch programme, to get farmers more involved in protecting their property.
